Doris Erline Scarbrough Chance

Doris Erline Scarbrough Chance, age 81, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2006, at her residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Barrett Road United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. Greg Cory and directed by Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery.

Mrs. Chance is survived by her son, Donald Malcolm Chance and his wife Jan Shewmake Chance of Baton Rouge, La.; grandchildren, Kimberly Chance Gomez and her husband Michael Paul Gomez of Baton Rouge, La., and Ashley Chance Altman and her husband Joel Phillip Altman of Northern Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joe Bills, Robert Chance, Pat Felts, Michael Gomez, Ken Schroeder and Glenn Sexton. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Barrett Road United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
