Mary Frances Rush

Mary Frances Rush, age 87, of Selma passed

away on Sunday, November 19, 2006 at a local nursing home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. John Davis, Rev. Joe Britton and Rev. Tommy Rush officiating.

Mrs. Rush is survived by her sons, Hilliard (Pat) Rush and Julius “Doc” (Linda) Rush; daughters, Mattie L. (John) Davis and Emily (Terry) Dellinger; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Ratliff and Teenie Davis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Craig C. Rush; parents, O.T. and Lula Stoudenmire; brothers, Ralph and Robert Stoudenmire; sister, Willie Cooper.

She was a long time member of Northside Baptist Church and West End Baptist Church. She was a Sunday School Teacher,

associated with W.M.U. and numerous other church organizations.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at Lawrence Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Russell Davis, Tony Dellinger, Todd Dellinger, Jay Dellinger, Jamie Rush and Clay Moore.

Oudia Sego O’Shields

Oudia Sego O’Shields, 76, of Smyrna, GA died Saturday.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Albert O’Shields, Sr. of Smyrna, GA, a son Albert O’Shields, Jr. of Ellijay, GA and two daughters and a son-in-law, Donna K and Sam Rowe of Smyrna, GA and Deborah Lynn Rowe of Smyrna. Survivors also include seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

In her life Mrs. O’Shields was a member of The Green Acres Baptist Church and a Shriner Moterette.

The family received friends from 6-8pm Monday and the funeral service will be Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at 11:00 from the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home 2000 Cobb Parkway S.E. Marietta, Georgia 30060. 770-432-0771.

Annie Elma

Hewston Godwin

Annie Elma Hewston Godwin, age 86, of Leeds, Al and formerly from Selma, AL, passed away November 19, 2006.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, November 21, 2006, 11:00 a.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens with Drew Kizer officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, William and Elaine Harris.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Godwin.

Mrs. Godwin was a member of Casey Church of Christ at Southside until she moved to Leeds, AL about ten years ago.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to a favorite charity or Ashville Road Church of Christ Building Fund, Leeds, AL 35094.

Alan Scott Creel

Alan Scott Creel, age 23, of Enterprise, MS died on November 16, 2006 in Newton County.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Wright’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Cothern and Rev. Taylor Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in Enterprise Cemetery with Wright’s Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include: parents, Billy Creel of Meridian, MS and Kay Creel of Enterprise, MS; two brothers, Clayton Creel of Meridian, MS and Bryan Creel of Las Vegas, NV; uncles and aunts, Tony and Judy Creel of Meridian, MS, Rube and Shirley Melton of Enterprise, MS, Cecil and Mable Melton of Enterprise, MS, Steve and Judy Melton of Enterprise, MS, and Laine Melton of Enterprise, MS; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, A.W. and Ethel Creel, maternal grandparents, Emmett and Lena Melton, and two uncles Jack Melton and Wilbur Melton.

Msgt. Douglas

Allen ‘Satch’ Bagley

Msgt. Douglas Allen “Satch” Bagley, age 44, of Orrville, AL, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2006 in Tuskegee, AL. He was born September 26, 1962 in Thomasville, AL. He was a retired master sergeant from the U.S. Airforce and was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church. Visitation will be at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jimmy R. O’Bryant officiating. Burial will be at Kelley Cemetery in Thomasville, AL.

He is survived by: his mother, Marilyn Bagley of Orrville, AL; daughter, Roxanne Bagley of Altoona, PA; daughter, Donna Bagley of Altoona, PA; brother, Bryan (Robyn) Bagley of Orrville, AL; sister, Nancy (Joel) Smith of Monroeville, AL; sister, Rhonda Bagley of Orrville, AL.

Active pallbearers will be: Kenny Spinks, Mike Larrimore, Henry Bagley, Robert Bagley, Glen Megginson, and Roy Megginson, III. Honorary pallbearers will be: Joe Mack Bagley, Bruce Bagley, Glenn Robinson, Taylor Smith, Joel Smith and Gary Smith. O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville, AL directing.

Joyce Mason Smith

Joyce Mason Smith, age 70, died on November 16, 2006 at Vaughan Regional Hospital in Selma, Alabama.

Ms. Smith, a native of Detroit, Michigan, relocated to Selma in 1995. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank John Mason, Sr. and Lena Harrell Mason, and a brother, Frank John Mason, Jr.

Survivors include her brother, Charles Mason (Patty), a niece, Desaray Mason and a nephew, Shaun Lewis Mason and a host of cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church on November 22, 2006 at 1:00 pm with Dr. Ronald Stone officiating. The family will receive friends at the J.H. Williams & Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 from 6:00 to 7: 00 p.m.
