O.T. Nunn

O.T. Nunn, 67, of Jemison, Alabama died on Friday, October 27, 2006 at Shelby Memorial Hospital.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Shiloh Baptist Church, Jemison, Alabama with Rev. Irvin Williams officiating. Burial will be held at the church’s cemetery with Agee Funeral Home, Clanton, Alabama directing.

Mr. Nunn was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Jemison, Alabama.

Survivors include: his wife, Bettye Nunn; three sons, Otis (Sarah) Nunn of Fort Campbell,

Kentucky, Jimmy (Phenicia) Nunn of Selma, Alabama and David (Meredith) Nunn of Jemison, Alabama; one daughter, Dorothy Mixon of Jemison, Alabama; one brother, Earl Nunn of Maplesville, Alabama; five sisters, Bessie (Robert) Andrews of Birmingham, Alabama, Lillie (James) Scales of Jersey City, New Jersey, Fannie

(Jim) Jordan of Rahway, New Jersey, Pearl (Benjamin) Dale of Birmingham, Alabama and Dorothy (McRoy) Maxwell of Birmingham, Alabama; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Elkin Nunn and Fannie M. Nunn; one son, William Earl Nunn and three brothers, William Edd Nunn, F.B. Nunn and Jessie Nunn.

Henry ‘Whitey’ White, Sr.

Henry “Whitey” White, Sr., age 80, died on October 28, 2006 at Baptist Hospital East in Montgomery, AL.

Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of Lee & Rollins Funeral Home in Marion, AL on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 1:00 pm. Rev. Odis L. Sanders, Pastor Officiating and Sister Louise Goree Jones, Mistress of Ceremony. Interment will follow in Oak Grove AME Zion Cemetery with Lee & Rollins Funeral Home directing.

Azile Crews Ellis

Azile Crews Ellis, age 81, died Thursday November 2, 2006 in a local hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 3, 2006 in New Live Oak Cemetery officiated by Rev. Robin Wilson and Rev. Jack Lovelace and directed by Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home, Inc.

Mrs. Ellis attended Huntingdon College and worked in the personnel office for Civil Service at Craig Field.

She is survived by three sons, Aubrey D (Connie) Ellis, Jr., M. Paul (Ames) Ellis, and Jefferson M. (Elizabeth) Ellis, seven grandchildren, Brian (Kathie) Ellis, Brad Ellis, Reed Ellis, Lauren Ellis, Haley Ellis, Sherry (Matt) Chunn, and Will Chandler, great grand child Anderton Aubrey Ellis, brother, Charles William (Rebecca) Crews, and sister, Louise Crews (P.L.) Howard. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Charles Pollack, Willard Hughey, Wiley Thomason, Dr. Caldwell DeBardeleben, Cartledge Blackwell, Dr. J. T. Downard, and Knox Boetler.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to First Baptist Church or one’s favorite charity.

Robert Hatcher

Robert Hatcher, age 65, of Selma, AL died on October 24, 2006 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 12:00 noon at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Father Carrol officiating.

Survivors include: his mother, Bertha Courtland; step father, James Courtland; grandchildren, Brandon Hatcher Crawford, Christopher Crawford, Brittany Crawford; great grandchild, Chloe’ D. Crawford; daughter, Donnia M. Crawford; aunts, Lula Mary (Osie) Courtland, Albert Hatcher and Reneva (J.B.) Courtland.

C.W. Riddle

C.W. Riddle, age 87, of Orrville, AL died on October 29, 2006 in Selma, AL.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 1:30 pm at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Service directing.

Survivors include: sons, David (Greta) Riddle, C.W. (Paula) Riddle, Jr. both of Birmingham, AL, Charles Walter Riddle of Orrville, AL and Charles Ghantt of Lufkin, Texas; daughters, Dorothy Riddle-Gayle, Brenda Riddle, Rosie (Herman) Wilson of Selma, AL, Willie Mae (Willie) Wilson of Birmingham, AL and Ceola Riddle-Williams of Atlanta, GA; brothers, John Henry (Gertrude) James, Henry (Rose) James and Aaron (Georgia Pearl) James of Cleveland, OH; sisters, Lucy James of Orrville, AL, Annie M. Fair of Mobile, AL and Laurene Brown of Cleveland, OH. Also surviving are 36 grandchildren, two daughters-in-laws, three brothers-in-laws, three sons-in-laws, and six sisters-in-laws.

Pallbearers will be sons.

Willie Lue Flennory

Willie Lue Flennory, age 79, of Orrville, AL died on October 26, 2006 at home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 11:00 am at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. John A. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch with Miller Funeral Service directing.

Survivors include: two sons, Horace (Minnie) Flennory and Carl (Diane) Flennory; four daughters, Mary Flennory, Drean (Ulysses) Gardner, Addie (Jerome) Allen of Orrville, AL and Ellen (Bruce) Hunter of Selma, AL; one brother, Eugene (Mary) Jones of Birmingham, AL and one sister, Ellen Jones of Orrville, AL.

Pallbearers will be sons and cousins.

William Toodle, age 74, of Marion Junction, AL died on October 30, 2006 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Bennett, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion P.B. Church cemetery with Miller Funeral Service directing.

Survivors include: spouse, Cora Mae Toodle; five sons, Joe L. Smith, Thomas J. Toodle (Zina), Willie J. Toodle (Flo) of Birmingham, AL. William H. Toodle (Mary) of Hammond, IN, and Clarence Toodle of Ft. Wayne, IN; three daughters, Betty J. Eatman of Birmingham, AL, Brenda (Leon) Hatcher of Marion Junction, AL and Dorothy (Michael) McCary of Huntsville, AL; one brother, Benjamin Toodle of Detroit, MI; one sister, Rosie (Ervine) Foreman of Brooklyn, NY; 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, special nieces, Naomi Brown and Rebecca Philips and a host of nieces and nephews.

Inez Bolden

Inez Bolden, age 69, of Baton Rouge, LA died on October 27, 2006 in Baton Rouge.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 11:30 am at Mt. Olive No. 1 in Sardis, AL with the Rev. A. L. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Walker Mortuary directing,

Tyrone C. Davis, age 31, of Selma, AL died on November 2, 2006 at his residence.
