To the Editor:

In reference to the Letter to the Editor on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006, written verification of insurance is required and requested by the clerk when applying for a new car tag.

It was required of me on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, before I could purchase a new car tag.

Not wanting to leave the dealership parking lot without insurance on the vehicle, a phone call to add my car to my insurance was accomplished.

AIG quickly faxed me a copy for written verification which I used at the courthouse.
