Gladys Baldwin-Kaye

Gladys Baldwin-Kaye, age 57, of Antigo, Wisc., a former native of Gallion, Ala., passed Oct. 18, 2006, in Chicago, Ill.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, at 1 p.m. at the Mt. Cannon Baptist Church, Gallion, Ala. The Rev. John Watkins will officiate.

Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Dorothy Slayton Dunkin

Dorothy Slayton Dunkin, 91, of Marion, Ala., died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006. Her husband of 68 years, Gordon H. Dunkin Sr., and infant daughter, Beverly Anne Dunkin, preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Camille (James) Yeldell of Metairie, La.; sons, Gordon (Mary King) Dunkin Jr., of Birmingham and Bob (Linda) Dunkin of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, three step-grand children and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Dunkin attended Judson College. She was an honorary member of the administrative board of the Marion United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the Marion Garden Club, associate member of the Alabama State Garden Club, honorary member of the Cunningham Community Club, as well as a charter member of the Prairie Women’s Club and UDC.

Services will be held Monday, Oct. 23 at 2 p.m. at Kirk Funeral Homes, Marion Chapel. The Rev. James Waters Jr. and Dr. Larry Teasley will officiate. Burial will be at the Marion Cemetery for family members. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
