Helen Muller

Helen Muller, of Hoover, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2006.

After graduating from college, she married Carl Arnold Muller on April 13, 1940.

During WWII, she taught at a girls’ school in Philadelphia, Penn., and after WWII, she returned to Alabama, where she was a substitute teacher, an administrative assistant and a homemaker.

She is survived by her spouse of 66 years, Carl Arnold Muller; two sons, Carl F. Muller (Rebecca) of Brewton and Martin Muller (Anita) of Hoover; a daughter, Mary Thompson of Brewton; five grandchildren, Celeste Morris (Brent), Carla Hill (Joe), Ruth Scott (Frank), Kelly Jernigan (Robbie) and Abby Muller; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service for Mrs. Muller will be on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ellen Russell

Mrs. Ellen Russell, age 91, of Demopolis, Alabama passed away on October 11, 2006 in Mobile, Alabama.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 20, 2006 at 12:00 noon at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Demopolis, Alabama.

Family Hour will be held Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
