John B. ‘Bill’ Moore

John B. “Bill” Moore, age 84, of Selma, Alabama passed away Sunday, October 1, 2006.

Funeral service will be Thursday, October 5, 2006, 2:00 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church with Dr. Kenny Hatcher and William E. Short officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 4, 2006, 6- 8:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Moore; son, Jerry (Theresa) Moore; daughter Joyce Delaney; step-son Steve Champion; step-daughter Linda McDaniel; and sister, Bertha Brown; grandchildren, Barry Wayne Moore, Rebecca Malloy, Michelle Moore, Larry Lee Conner, Jr., Laura Dunaway, Darlene Dobbs; step-grandchild, Jennifer McDaniel; and ten great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

Bill was a Deacon of Northside Baptist Church and very active in his service to the Lord all of his life. He was a member of the Senior Adult Men’s Sunday School Class.

He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII and also in the Korean War.

He was a member of Dan Mackin’s American Legion Post 20.

Pallbearers will be Al Frith, Berry Vines, John Clibrey, Randal Bruner, Sean Haigler and Travis Gandy. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Bruner and deacons of Northside Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building Fund at Northside Baptist Church, 2950 Citizens Pkwy, Selma, AL 36703.
