Clifford Earnest Headley

Clifford Earnest Headley, age 81 of Fort Walton Beach, Florida passed away September 28, 2006.

Cliff was born January 19, 1925 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford Simon & Clemmie Walker Headley, 2 sisters, Marie Victor & Minnie Manderson and 1 brother, Walter (Shorty) Headley.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Chandler Headley, son Ron (Rita), Dan (Jackie), Angelia (Tasso) and Donna (John), 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, brothers, Gordon (Nell), E.J. (Pat), Dewey, Huey (Linda) and 1 sister, Betty Ruth Hayes (Carl).

Viewing will be 1pm followed by services at 2pm on Sunday, October 1, 2006 at the Lawrence Funeral Home in Selma, Alabama.

Burial will be at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery in Maplesville, Alabama.

Reverend Ron Headley will officiate.

Mrs. Essie Mae Neese Speaks

1922-2006

Funeral service for Mrs. Essie Mae Neese Speaks, age 84, of Selma will be Saturday, September 30, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home.

The Rev. Kenneth Scott will officiate. Burial will follow in the Alexander City Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Radney Funeral Home.

Mrs. Speaks passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2006 in Selma.

She was born on May 23, 1922 in Covington County to Daniel Dozier Neese and Stella Berry Neese.

She is survived by her son, John E. Speaks, Sr. (Sally) of Selma; seven grandchildren, Susan Saxon of Sylacauga, John E. Speaks, Jr. of Sylacauga, Stormie Speaks of Helena, James Howard of Prattville, Andrea Pique of Nashville, TN, Barton W. LaGrone of New York City, NY and Michael W. LaGrone of Memphis, TN; twelve great grandchildren; brother, Grover H. Neese (June) of Alexander City; sisters, Earline Hill (Bill) of Alexander City, Dean Daniels of Auburn and Gertrude Coggin of Alexander City and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Dozier Neese and Stella Berry Neese; husband, Ross Barton Speaks; daughter, Sally A. LaGrone; infant son, Thomas M. Speaks, III; brothers, Daniel Neese, Bill Neese, Trammel Neese and Homer Neese.
