The good news for Morgan was that Clarke Prep passed for just eight yards Friday night.
The bad news was it ran for 305.
The Gators (4-2, 3-2 AAA Region 1) pounded the ball on the ground and sent Morgan to its third loss in four games with a 21-7 victory.
Heath Harrelson had 45 yards on six carries and the Senators’ only score of the game in the third quarter.
The game almost went scoreless for three quarters, but Clarke Prep struck late in the third.
Wesley Morgan scored a touchdown on a 13-yard carry with 4:02 left to put his team ahead by a touchdown.
On the ensuing kickoff, Harrelson took the ball back for an 88-yard touchdown to tie the game.
The Gators owed the game to Bret Bradford, who did all the scoring in the fourth quarter.
Nearly two minutes in, he went in from six yards away to give Clarke a 14-7 edge.
With just minutes left in the game, he extended the lead on a 26-yard touchdown run.
The Senators (3-3, 2-3) will head into this Friday’s home game against Edgewood on a two-game losing streak and having scored just 21 points over its last three games.
Harrelson led the Morgan defense with 10 tackles and a fumble recovery.
John Ellis had eight tackles, and Pitt Hughes had seven tackles.
