A one-vehicle crash off Alabama Highway 219 Tuesday night resulted in the deaths of two Morgan Academy graduates.

Jeffrey Alan Crum, age 26, of Selma and Jonathon Walter Goodman, age 27, of Marion Junction were killed when the 1997 Honda Accord they were traveling in “came around the curve too fast, left the roadway and overturned,” said Alabama State Trooper Corporal Chris Ellis on Wednesday.

“Both the driver and the passenger were ejected and pronounced dead on the scene,” he said.

Ellis said the state trooper’s office has not yet determined who was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash, which occurred at approximately 8:25 p.m. Tuesday.

“We expect to sort that information out (today),” he said.
