Earnest Jones, age 77, of Selma, AL died on September 22, 2006 at his residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, September 29, 2006 at 11:00 am at Ellwood Community Church with Gary L. Crum officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens with Miller Funeral Service directing.

Survivors include: spouse, Zettie N. Jones; four sons, Clarence (Christine) Jones of McCall, AL, Earnest, Jr. (Wilma) Jones of Birmingham, AL, Michael (Lisa) Jones of Montgomery, AL, and Michael (Barbara) Green of Huntsville, AL; four daughters, Judy (Cedric) Jordan of Selma, AL, Vivian Jones of Selma, AL, Mary (Robert) Allison of Pinson, AL, and Donitha (Calvin) Griffin of Valley Grande, AL; fifteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, three sons-in-laws, four daughters-in-laws, six brothers-in-laws, and three sisters-in-laws.

Her was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Ann Jones.

Charles Moore

Charles Moore, age 84, of Selma, AL died on September 22, 2006 at his residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Miller’s Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Alvin Cleveland officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Memory Gardens with Miller Funeral Service directing.

Survivors include: one son, John (Mary) Moore of Montgomery, AL; one daughter, Judith Moore of Marietta, GA; one sister, Susie Moore-Wilson of Selma, AL; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one daughter-in-law, one sister-in-law, five nieces, one nephew and a host of cousins and friends.

Peggy Joan Riley

Peggy Joan Riley, age 59, of Verbena, Alabama died on Monday, September 25, 2006 at her residence in Verbena. She was born Saturday, March 8, 1947 in Chilton County, Alabama daughter of the late Harmon Riley and the late Annie L. Price Jatko. She was a waitress.

She is survived by: her husband, Sydney Griner of Verbena, AL; son, Mr. Keith Dailey of Camden, AL; son, Mr. Scott Dailey of Camden, AL; son, Mr. Shane Dailey of Camden, AL; daughter, Ms. Terri Fendley of Millers Ferry, AL; sister, Ms. Priscilla Robinson of Clanton, AL; sister, Ms. Norma Lawrence of Gibbon, NE; sister, Ms. Ruth Jones of Prattville, AL; sister, Ms. Karen Duke of Wetumpka, AL; brother, Mr. Elmer Jatco, Jr. of Decatur, AL; brother, Mr. Thomas Jatco of Ohatchee, AL; brother, Mr. Allen Jatco of Selma, AL; five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie L. Price Jatko and sister, Faith Jetco Ponzer.

Friends will be received from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at Martin Chapel. Services will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Martin Chapel with Rev. Joe Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Methodist Cemetery Grove in Thorsby, Alabama.

Mr. Jordan Mullen

Mr. Jordan Mullen, age 57, of Brooklyn, New York passed on September 21, 2006 at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 12:00 noon at Larkin & Scott Funeral Home Chapel in Demopolis, Alabama. Elder Joe Lee will officiate. Interment will follow in Mullen Cemetery in Demopolis, Alabama. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements.
