Mr. Agee Middleton, Sr.

Mr. Agee Middleton, Sr. was born September 15, 1924. He departed this life Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 12:00 pm at Tabernacle of Praise with Rev. Rembert officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Memory Gardens Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include: his wife, Gladys P. Middleton; two sons, Edgar Norris Middleton of Anchorage, Alaska, Agee Middleton, Jr. (Regene) of Selma, Alabama; two daughters, Wilma Jean Middleton of Anchorage, Alaska, Sabrena Ann Vinson (Gerald) of Decatur, Alabama; seven granddaughter, Ageena, April (Kendall), Angel, Angela, Jacqueline, Sydnee, Talesha; three grandsons, Agee III, Nicholas, Chris; four great granddaughters, Amber, Aerika, Khya, Asia; five great grandsons, Adam, Alexander, Kendall, Ashton, Jalen.

He was preceded in death by one son, Youngske (Y.C.) Middleton.

Thank you to all family and friends that stood by his side during his illness, along with Warren Manor Nursing Home and Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Leola Hatcher Fisher

Mrs. Leola Hatcher Fisher, age 89, of Marion Junction, Alabama died on September 10, 2006 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Salem PB Church with Rev. Lee Green officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Service directing.

Survivors include: spouse, Willie James Fisher, Sr.; two sons, Clarence (Carolyn) Fisher and Abraham Fisher; two daughters, Mary A. Fisher Simms and Minnie P. Fisher; one brother, William Hatcher; fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, one daughter-in-law, three brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law, a host of nieces and nephews; a special granddaughter, La’Tonya Clark; a special great grandson, Devontae Fisher and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Bobbie Jean Crear

Bobbie Jean Crear, 55, of Selma passed September 8, 2006 at a local nursing facility.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 12:00 noon from Zion #1 MP Church with Rev. J.D. Fails officiating. Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery with J.H. Williams & Sons Funeral Home directing.

Richard E. Deyampert, Sr.

Mr. Richard E. Deyampert, Sr., age 62, a resident of Selma died Sept. 8, 2006 in Lowndes County.

Services are scheduled for Sat., Sept. 16, 2006, 11:00 am at Freedom Baptist Church. Services officiated by Rev. Spivey and burial to follow at Fairlawn Memory Gardens directed by Miller Funeral Service.

Survivors include: Spouse, Teresa Deyampert; parents, Mr. & Mrs. Porter L. (Helen) Deyampert, Sr.; 2 sons, Terron Deyampert and Richard Deyampert, Jr.; 1 brother, Porter Deyampert and 1 step grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Walmart Associates and friends.

Mrs. Bertha T. Lewis

Mrs. Bertha T. Lewis, age 85, of Newbern, Alabama passed away on September 11, 2006 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 12:00 noon at the First Baptist Church in Newbern, Alabama. Rev. James Williams, pastor and Rev. Johnny Thorton officiating. Interment will follow in Croom Cemetery in Newbern, Alabama. The remains will repose at the church on Saturday beginning at 11:00 am.

Mr. Joe L. Capers, age 85, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Ward, Alabama, passed away on September 11, 2006 at St. Mary Elizabeth Hospital, Louisville, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 1:00 pm at the St. Thomas AME Church in Ward, Alabama. Rev. Charles Phillips, pastor and Rev. John Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 1:00 pm at the Christian Chapel Baptist Church in Demopolis, Alabama. Rev. Fred Moore, pastor and Rev. Stanley Hixie, III officiating. Interment will follow in Birdie Cemetery in Forkland, Alabama.

Family Hour & Visitation will be held Friday night from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home chapel.
