Patricia Sue Hogue Stabler Hill

Patricia Sue Hogue Stabler Hill, born February 13, 1948, passed away at the age of 58 on September 11, 2006.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church directed by Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas officiating.

Mrs. Stabler is survived by her husband- Jimmie Hill of Pleasant Hill; son- James “Red” Ira Hill of Warner Robbins, GA.; daughter- Jennifer Lynn (Tommy)

Holder of Boonville, MS.; brothers- Rufus J. (Merle) Hogue, Jr. of Selma, AL. and Richard C. (Helen) Hogue of Rowlett, Texas; sisters- Betty J. Ward of Prattville, AL., Mary Ann Hogue (Ross) Robinson of Clanton, AL., Mildred Zane Hogue Smith, and Joyce Elaine Hogue Myers both of Pell City, AL.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister- Dorothy Louise Hogue Richards.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at Lawrence Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes that donations be made to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Leola Hatcher Fisher

Mrs. Leola Hatcher Fisher, age 89, of Marion Junction, AL died on September 10, 2006 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services and survivors will be announced at a later date Miller Funeral Service.

Mr. Richard E. Deyampert, Sr.

Mr. Richard E. Deyampert, Sr., age 62, of Selma, AL died on September 8, 2006 in Lowndes County.

Funeral services and survivors will be announced at a later date by Miller Funeral Service.

Ralph W. Temple

Ralph W. Temple, (C/MSgt, USAF, Ret.), 87, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2006.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Gladys H. Temple of Montgomery, Alabama; two nieces, Judie Seeders (Dick) of Montgomery, Alabama, Mary Childress (Rex), of Loxley, Alabama; two nephews, Edward Temple (Kathy) of Winchester, Tennessee, John Temple (Connie) of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

He will be missed by numerous great nieces and nephews.

C/MSgt Temple served over 26 years in the United States Air Force.

He served overseas during World War II and the Korean War.

After retiring in 1965, he then pursued a civil service career as manager and pro of the golf course at Craig Air Force Base in Selma.

He later held the same position at the United States Naval Air Station in Meridian, Mississippi for several Years.

He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held the position of Bishop of the Selma Ward.

He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at the Court Street Church of Latter Day Saints on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. with funeral services to be held at 2:00 P.M.

Burial will follow in Oakwood Annex Cemetery.

Yvonne Carmichael

Yvonne Carmichael, age 61, of Pensacola, FL died on September 8, 2006 in Pensacola, FL. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Walker Mortuary.

Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Davis Slate

Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Davis Slate, age 85, died on September 8, 2006.

She was born in Newark, New Jersey, the daughter of George Laverne Davis and Esther Carr Davis. She was a graduate of the University of North Carolina. She had been living in Anniston, Alabama since 1949.

She is survived by her husband, Clay Slate; daughter, Elizabeth (Jill) Davis Slate Mange (Gerald), son, Clay Slate, Jr.(Dorian), daughter, Miriam Whitney Slate (Jerome); grandchildren, Gerald Burgess Mange, Jr., George Edward Mange, Davis Slate Mange, Elizabeth Katherine Mange, Joshua Clay Slate; great-grandchild, George Edward Mange, Jr. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Davis Manger and Nancy Davis.

A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church inAnniston on September 16, at 2:00 PM.
