Crystal Bonner

Crystal Bonner, age 33, resident of Selma, died August 23, 2006 in Selma.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Walker Mortuary.

Neal Presley Miller

Neal Presley Miller, age 75, of Safford, Alabama died Friday, August 25, 2006 at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Alabama after an extended illness.

Services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday afternoon at Thomaston Baptist Church with Reverend Daniel Gandy and Reverend Randall Mims officiating with O’Bryant Funeral Home of Linden directing.

Burial will be in Thomaston Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Faye McKinney Miller; daughters, Alice Miller Moore (Wayne) and Angela Rae Miller of Safford; son, Kelley Miller (Laura) of Tuscaloosa; granddaughters Mary Alice and Jamie Moore of Safford.

Mr. Miller was a life long farmer of catfish and cattle in Dallas, Perry, and Wilcox counties, and was best known for Miller Bros. Honey.

He was a devoted member of Center Chapel United Methodist Church in Safford and a graduate of Orrville High School.

Mr. Miller has been a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Etheredge, Jimmy Barnett, Ken West, Jr., James Richardson, Ed Howse, and Sam Givhan.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ken West, Sr., James Staggers, Leon Majors, Robert Morris Caine, Lee Jones, Russell Foster, and Pearce Caine.

For the last part of his illness, Mr. Miller was in the Long Term Care Hospital of Tuscaloosa (DCH, 4th Floor).

The family extends their appreciation for the exceptional care and attention the doctors, nurses, and staff gave to Mr. Miller.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Center Chapel United Methodist Church of Safford, the YMCA of Selma-Dallas County, or your favorite charity.

Sherri M. Hooper

Sherri M. Hooper, passed away Aug. 26, 2006. A memorial service will be held on Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church with Dr. Roy Sublett officiating.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Abbott.

She is survived by her daughters, Dani (John) Perry, Daryl (Carl) Tuttle; grandchildren, Tyler and Grace Perry, Emily and Angela Robbins and Alex Tuttle; parents Archie and Thelma Hooper; brother, Archie (Sharon) Hooper.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or your favorite charity. Southern Memorial directing.
