Rupert Franklin Chappelle

Rupert Franklin Chappelle, 81, passed away, August 2, 2006 in Rockville, Maryland.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred E. Chappelle, son, Rupert Randall Chappelle, Rockville, Maryland; and granddaughters, Caitlin and Alexandra Chappell, Rockville, Maryland.

He is reunited with his late wife, Eloise Fore.

Graveside services will be Friday, August 18, 2006 at 1:00 P. M. in New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. George K. Jones, Sr., officiating and Selma Funeral Home, directing.

Mr. Chappelle received three Purple Hearts during WWII, with the 77th Infantry Division in the Pacific.

After graduating from Auburn Polytechnic Institute (Auburn University) in Aeronautical Enfineering, He worked for Chance Vought Aviation before relocating to Maryland for employment with defense contractor, Vitro Laboraties until his retirement in 1984.
