Alberta Hester Reynolds

Alberta Hester Reynolds, 99, died Tuesday morning, August 1, 2006, in Selma, Alabama.

She was born on May 12, 1907, in Fairview, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Gordon (Boy) Reynolds; two sons, Myron Gordon (Sonny) Reynolds and Don Hester Reynolds; grandson, Daniel Myron Reynolds;

and son-in-law, B. A. Taylor.

She is survived by one daughter, Nan Reynolds Taylor of Selma, Alabama; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Pamela Reynolds of Conway, Arkansas;

daughter-in-law, Betty Reynolds of Mobile, Alabama; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 3rd at the Wilmot Cemetery, Wilmot, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Wilmot Methodist Church,

201 Lake Street, Wilmot, AR 71676 or American Diabetes Association.

Barbara Jean Smith

Barbara Jean Smith, age 64, of Orrville died Monday July 31, 2006 at home. Funeral Services will be held at the Chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home at 11:00 Thursday August 3, 2006 officiated by Rev. John Davis and Billy Wyatt. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery. She is survived by her son: Cliff Smith and his wife, Jeannie; grandchildren, Trent, Emilee, and Lexi Smith; brother, Clyde (Becky) Roper; sisters, Mary Alice (Bobby) Mims, Sandra (David) Stozle; sister-in-law, Myrtle Smith; a host of nieces and nephews and many dear friends of the River Oaks Community. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Allie Roper, and her husband, Grady C Smith. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the River Oaks Volunteer Fire Department. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Arrington, Paul Hartley, Harold Ware, Hub Broadhead, and Larry Broadhead and members of the River Oaks Volunteer Fire Department. Active Pallbearers will be Greg Roper, Chris Roper, Shane Mims, Bob Phillips, Ed Plaisance, and Glen Miles. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening.

Booker T. Smith

Booker T. Smith, age 84, of Selma, died on July 27, 2006 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center. Funeral services and survivors will be announced at a later date by Miller Funeral Service.

Quennie H. Tolbert

Quennie H. Tolbert, of Orrville, died on August 1, 2006 at home. Funeral services and survivors will be announced at a later date by Miller Funeral Service.

Rev. Dr. Ralph E. LeSure

Rev. Dr. Ralph E. LeSure, age 85, of Selma, died on July 27, 2006 at home. Funeral services and survivors will be announced at a later date Miller Funeral Service.

Richard Milton, Jr.

Richard Milton, Jr., age 82, of Boston, MA, died on July 30, 2006 in Boston, MA. Funeral services and survivors will be announced at a later date by Miller Funeral Service.

Shirley Alexander Pritchett, age 54, of Atlanta, GA died on Thursday, July 27, 2006. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 12:00 noon at Union Grove Baptist Church in Union City, GA with Rev. J.W. Neely officiating. Burial will follow in Hillandale Memorial Park in Lithonia, GA with Gas Thornhill Funeral Home, East Point, GA, directing.

Survivors include: her husband, Robert Pritchett; parent, Alee Alexander of Selma; one son, Michael (Lynn) Pritchett; three brothers, James Alexander, Sr., Kevon (Effie) Clifton, and Lorenzo (Loretta) Alexander; three sisters, Leola (Issaac) Mixon, Rosie (William) Hayes, and Loretta Alexander; two grandchildren, Taylor and Chandler Pritchett.
