Rosie M. Bell

Rosie M. Bell, age 44, of Orrville, Alabama died on July 23, 2006 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Siloam Baptist Church with Rev. W.C. Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Little Zion Cemetery with Miller Funeral Service directing.

Survivors include: her parents, Sallie Stallworth and Waller Dixion; three sons, Julius C. Stallworth, Andre Stallworth and Alfred Bell; three daughters, Wanda F. Stallworth, Kandis Stallworth, and Angela Bell; four brothers, Mose Washington, Walter Stallworth, Tim Stallworth, and Eddie Malone; four sisters, Mary Stallworth, Lilly Irby, Gloria Wilson, and Nettie Mollete; five grandchildren, one daughter-in-law, and a devoted friend, David Muse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Bell.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.

Bertha Jackson

Bertha Jackson, age 77, of Foley, AL died on July 25, 2006 at her home. Funeral services will be announced later by Lee & Rollins Funeral Home.

Rozell Lucky

Rozell Lucky, age 72, of Marion, AL died on July 22, 2006 at his home. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. James Baptist Church in Marion, AL with Rev. David E. Gay officiating. Burial will follow in the Heard Cemetery with Lee & Rollins Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Edith Perry

Mrs. Edith Perry, age 84, of the Miller’s Community, Linden, Alabama, passed away on July 19,

2006 at Bryan Whitfield Hospital in Demopolis, Alabama.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, Miller’s Community, Linden, Alabama. Rev. Reginald Atkinson will officiate.

Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery, Linden, Alabama. The remains will repose at the church on Saturday beginning at 12:30 p.m. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, Alabama entrusted with arrangements.

Ned Perry

Ned Perry, formerly of Sprott, AL, died on July 25, 2006 in Huntsville Hospital. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. at New Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Woodie Melton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Lee & Rollins Funeral Home directing.

Leola Savage

Leola Savage, age 97, of Marion, AL died on July 24, 2006 at Southland Nursing Home in Marion.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 12:00 noon at the New Fellowship Baptist Church in Marion. Rev. Luegene Wright, Pastor and Dr. Eddie Harper officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Lee & Rollins Funeral Home directing.

Wilma Jean Rodgers

Wilma Jean Rodgers, age 71, of Selma, Alabama died on July 24, 2006 at Warren Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Summer Grove with Rev. Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Summer Grove Cemetery with Miller Funeral Service directing.

Survivors include: three sons,

Gary D. Rodgers of Woodbridge, VA., John M. Rodgers of Selma, AL., and Gregory L. Rodgers of Carson, CA.; two daughters-in-law, Juanita R, Rodgers and Debra Rodgers; one brother-in-law, Charlie Cunningham; one sister, Vinest Stelle of Rockford, IL.; eight grandchildren; five sisters-in-law, Bettie Jackson, Lola Donaldson, Rosetta Luckie, Irene Rodgers, and Gertrude Gulley; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be ushers and friends.

Julius Seay

Julius Seay, age 57, of Selma, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

He is survived by his two daughters, Sabrina and Melissa Seay; one son, Terry Smith; six grandchildren; four brothers, Eddie (Johnnie) Seay, Clarence (Doris) Seay, Billie Seay, Charlie (Kim) Seay; two sisters, Ovetta (Earl) Seay-Jenkins and Linda (Isaiah) Haralson; and a host of special and devoted nieces and nephews. Also surviving is a host of other relatives and friends.

Family visitation hour will be from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Second Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Darryl Moore officiating.

John Smith Jr.

John Smith, Jr., age

44, of Minter, Alabama died on July 19, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Miles officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Service directing.

Survivors include: his wife, Arie L. Smith; mother, Annie P. Smith; three daughters, Shemika Hamilton, Tiffany Hamilton, and Tiara Hamilton; six sisters, Barbara Hamilton, Eddie Mae Evans, LaTanza Swinson, Mildred Wilson, Linda Smith, and Lillian Williams; two grandchildren; five brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; and host of other relatives and friends.
