Deannie Mary Sherrer Ingram

Deannie Mary Sherrer Ingram, age 68, of Centreville, Ala. died on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at Bibb Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 21, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Plantersville, Ala. with Rev. John Mount, Rev. Jack Allen, and Rev. Greg Melvin officiating. Burial will follow in the Plantersville Christian Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 20, 2006 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Rocko Funeral Home in Centreville, Ala.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carlye Sherrer, a long time member of Plantersville Methodist Church and then member of Antioch Baptist church, a loving and caring member of the Plantersville and Antioch Communities.

Survivors include: her husband, Roy D. Ingram of Centreville, Ala.; two sons, R.C. Sherrer, Jr. (Missy) of Destin, Fla. and Carlton Keith Sherrer (Phyllis) of Prattville, Ala.; one daughter, Inga Sherrer Yarboro (Terry) of Prattville, Ala.; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Sherrer of Atlanta, Ga.; one step son, Dale Ingram. Also surviving are, her mother, Carrie Daniels of Jackson, Ala.; two brothers, Morgan Daniels (Margaret) of Jackson, Ala. and Wallace Daniels of Plantersville, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Casey Sherrer of Prattville, Elisabeth Sherrer of Atlanta, Kristen Sherrer of Atlanta, Ashton Yarboro of Prattville, Trey Sherrer of Atlanta, McLain Yarboro of Prattville, and Dawson Ingram of Centreville.

Pallbearers will be Casey Sherrer, Ben Nichols, Dale Ingram, Stevie Smitherman, Kyle Desmond, Neil Sherrer, Johnny Sherrer, Chris Carroll, Larry Carroll and George Carroll.

Junior Pallbearers will be McLain Yarboro and Dawson Ingram.

George Lee Jones

George Lee Jones, age 58, of Hayneville, Ala. died July 10, 2006. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Baptist Hill Church with Rev. L.L. Brown, Jr. officiating. Burial in Baptist Hill Cemetery with Bell Funeral Home directing.

Ruth Ann McCord

Ruth Ann McCord, 86, of Birmingham, Ala. died July 14, 2006. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 12:00 noon at Mt. Moriah #1 Baptist Church with Rev. J. Price officiating. Burial in Mt. Moriah #1 Cemetery with Bell Funeral Home directing.

Dorothy Matthews Dunston

Dorothy Matthews Dunston, age 68, of Georgiana, Ala., died July 15, 2006. Funeral services will be Friday, July 21, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Lomax Hanon with Rev. Sammie Jenkins officiating. Burial in Saragood Cemetery with Bell Funeral Home directing.

Ava Juanita Jordan

Ava Juanita Jordan, age 97, of Selma, passed away July 18, 2006 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be Friday, July 21, 2006, 10:00 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George K. Jones, Sr. officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday, July 20, 2006, 6-8:00 p.m.

Interment will be in Camden Cemetery in Wilcox County, AL.

She is survived by a niece, Mary Ann (J. T.) James of Stapleton, AL; great nieces and nephews, Brian Gammage, Carla Cayton, and Jason Gammage and a special friend, Betty Rose Helton of Montgomery, AL.

Miss Jordan was a graduate of Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, KY and served as Educational Director and the Music Ministry at Valley Grande Baptist Church, Valley Grande, AL; First Baptist Church, Lanett, AL; Evergreen Baptist Church, Evergreen, AL; Selmont Baptist Church, Selma, AL and Elkdale Baptist Church, Selma, AL.

She was active in many mission organizations in Alabama.

Pallbearers will be Brian Gammage, Jason Gammage, J. T. James, Douglas Cayton, Jack Frost and Steve Smitherman.
