Msgt Retired William C. “Bill” Church

Msgt Retired William C. “Bill” Church, age 73, of Selma, Ala., died on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at his home.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2006 in Pineview Memory Gardens with the Pastor Jerry Sanders officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include: his children, Glenn (Ora) Church, Lolita (Roger) Still, Wendell (Hardy) Church, Crystal (Leroy) Humphrey, Gene (Toni) Church, Nelda (Butch) Curtis, Mary Darlene Nevin, Johnnie Lynn Curtis, Chester Allen (Marilyn) Lower, twenty grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, four sisters, and three brothers.

Mr. Church was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Church and his son, Barry Church.

The family will receive friends at Lawrence Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Active Pallbearers will be USAF.

Mr. Church served 26 years as an Aircraft Mechanic in the United States AirForce with two tours to Thailand and two tours to Japan. After retiring from the service, he worked 22 years with Home Appliance in Selma, Ala.

Malissa H. Craig

Malissa H. Craig, 92, of Selma died July 16, 2006 at her home.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 20, 2006, 1 p.m. at Ward Chapel AME Church with Pastor Michael Hinson officiating. Burial in Elmwood Cemetery with J.H. Williams & Sons Funeral Home directing.

Willie Mitchell

Willie Mitchell, age 71, of Selma, Ala. died on July 17, 2006 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Julius Shields

Julius Shields, age 72, of Selma, Ala. died on July 14, 2006 at Warren Manor.

Funeral services will be announced later by Miller Funeral Service.

Mary A. Holmes

Mary A. Holmes, age 55, of Selma, Ala. died on July 14, 2006 at her home.

Funeral services will be announced later by Miller Funeral Service.

Myrtis W. Long

Myrtis W. Long died on June 18, 2006.
