Shirley B. Holloman

Shirley B. Holloman, age 53, of Selma died on July 5, 2006 in Selma. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 14, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Darryl Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Miller Funeral Service directing.

Survivors include: her husband, Andrew Holloman; parent, Cetonia Buford; two sons, Andrew Sherman Holloman and Shamel Aikeem Holloman; seven brothers, Willie James (Marge) Davis, Bennie Buford, Johnny Buford, Winston Buford, Charles Buford, Willie (Bernadette) Buford, and Lee Buford; four daughters, Rosie H. Shaw, Mary (Anthony) Shelton, Linda J. Buford and Gloria (Otis) Edwards; seven brothers-in-laws, fourteen sisters-in-laws and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Rosie Lee Gamble

Mrs. Rosie Lee Gamble, age 98, of Huntsville, AL died on July 9, 2006 in Huntsville. Funeral services were held on July 12, 2006 at 12:00 noon at Mt. Lebanon. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Royal Funeral Home in Huntsville directed.

Survivors include: three daughters, Susie Lee Brown, Annie Lou Steve and Texanna Steve; fifteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Tommie Earl Hamilton

Tommie Earl Hamilton Sr., age 83 , died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Orrville Cemetery with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with

Bro. Preston Johnson officiating.

is survived by his son: Tommy Earl Hamilton Jr., Joseph Karl Hamilton, William Jeffery Hamilton; daughter: Kathy Christine (John)

Holland, Thelma Clarice (Joseph) Barlow; sisters, Joyce Luker from Millers Ferry, Lucille Goodman from Thompson GA.; grandchildren: Katherine Gail Holland from Orlando, FL., John Patrick Holland from Auburn, Elizabeth Anne “Zippy” Holland from Tyler, Heather Ann Hamilton from Pelham, David Allen Hamilton and Joshua Lee Barlow from Jones, Joseph Karl Hamilton Jr. from Waukegan, IL., Halee Nicole Hamilton from Grovehill, Jaime Hamilton from Pinehill, and Tammy Earline Hamilton from Ottawa, IL.

Mr. Hamilton was preceded in death by his wife: Willie Vlula Weatherly Hamilton and infant son, parents: Leslie and Hattie Hamilton, brother: Raymond Leslie Hamilton.

Family will receive friends Friday, July 14, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lillian Zeigler

Lillian Zeigler, age 73, of Selma, Alabama died on July 7, 2006 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 14, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Lewis Brothers Funeral Home with Evangelist Jessie LeSure officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include: companion, Charles Gorden; one son, Cyrus Zeigler of Minneapolis; one daughter, Sherry Zeigler of Minneapolis; two brothers, Willie Weaver of New York and Charles Weaver of Minneapolis; three sisters, Elizabeth Stevens, Mildred Freeman, and Gloria Weaver of Minneapolis.

Brenda Joyce Rutledge-Stitten

Brenda Joyce Rutledge-Stitten, age 49, resident of Perry County passed away, peacefully, in her sleep on July 9, 2006 at her home.

Family hour will be held at Lewis Brothers Funeral Home on Friday, July 14, 2006 from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

Services are scheduled for July 15, 2006, 1:00 pm at the Oak Grove Augustine Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Melvin Parker. The body will lie in state 11:30am-1:00pm. Burial will follow at Marietta AME Zion Church, directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

Brenda was the daughter of the Late Woodrow and Annie Rutledge. Survivors include: one son, Shaun Tavares Stitten; one daughter, Sheneka LaToya Stitten; Four grandchildren, Three brothers, Franklin Rutledge, Leon Rutledge and Woodrow Rutledge, Jr.; Eight sisters, Geraldine Grayson, Annie P. Harris, Sarah D. Cleveland, Theolia Valentine, Cliffidean Fuqua, Linda J. Walton, Barbara F. Cupstid and Jacqueline E. McKinney; four brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law. Thirteen nephews, nine nieces, two uncles, three aunts, and numerous cousins and friends. Pallbearers will be nephews and friends.
