To the Editor:

Our dear friend, Reggie Martinear, returned to work at the Vaughan Fitness and Wellness Center. It has been nearly a month since Reggie was viciously attacked by two pit bulls while walking to work.

Reggie fought desperately to keep the dogs from attacking his throat and head.

Thanks to neighbors who heard his frantic cry for help, and the Selma Police Department, Reggie’s life was saved that day. Unfortunately, his chest and lower torso suffered deep wounds that required several visits to the doctor to avoid infection.

Reggie is a devoted employee. Dependability is one of his greatest assets. He is prompt to work and completes his assignments to the best of his ability. Reggie is a no-nonsense person when it comes to his commitment to the Vaughan Wellness and Fitness Center.

This remarkable young man is greatly admired by his friends. Family, church members and a whole host of buddies love Reggie because of his underconditional kindness to all. He is one of the most generous people we know.

Today, we honor this quiet-mannered young man. Our prayers were answered. Reggie is back! Thank you for your friendship! Roll Tide, Reg!
