Sacrifices were made on the bridge

To the Editor:

I promise I will not respond to any of the Rev./Councilman Cecil Williamson’s, Ph.D., Esq. letters, but perhaps because he had no relationship with the black community for so many years he didn’t know that there were people who lost the use of their body members, i.e., eyes, legs, and mental distress that they suffered for years after the beatings on the bridge.
