Mary Lee Barnett Tucker

Mary Lee Barnett Tucker, age 85 years, passed away on June 4, 2006 at Southland Nursing Home following a short illness.

The family received friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2006 at Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel.

Graveside services were Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at 11:00a.m. at Pine Crest Memorial Gardens in Marion.

Her grandsons; Keith Eiland, Daryl Glaze, Randy Glaze, Ty Glaze, Bart Tucker and Brandon Tucker served as pallbearers.

The Rev. Thomas Fondren officiated.

Mrs. Tucker is survived by her sons: John E. Tucker, Jr. (Mary) and Timothy Lane Tucker (Linda) both of Marion. Grandchildren are Ty Glaze (Anita) of Warner Robbins, Ga, Mike Tucker (Belinda) of Prattville, Ala., Daryl Glaze of Selma, Ala., Pat Lynch (Roy) of Town Creek, Ala., Keith Eiland (Ally) of Sprott, Ala., Randy Glaze (Angel) of Prattville, Ala., Stephanie Craycraft (Tony) of New Martinsville, WV, Brandon Tucker (Jennifer) of Clanton, Ala., and Bart Tucker (Abby) of Ringgold, Ga, and 14 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by a sister, Lois B. Holmes and a brother, Jerry Barnett both of Marion and a son-in-law, Paul Glaze of Selma.

Mary Lee Barnett Tucker was born on November 20, 1920 in Birmingham, Al.

She was the daughter of Alvin C. and Mattie Cunningham Barnett who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Tucker, Sr., her daughters Margie Glaze and Jean Eiland and her siblings, Brown Barnett, John Barnett, Steve Barnett and E.B. Barnett.

Services were directed by Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel.
