Moore-Stewart defeats Bush Hog

John Pomeroy and the squad from Moore-Stewart posted a 10-0 victory over Bush Hog in 11-12 year old baseball action at the Dallas County Sportsplex.

Pomeroy toed the rubber for the Moore Stewart squad and pitched four innings of no-hit baseball.

The day, however, was not a perfect outing. Despite having seven strikeouts, Pomeroy did issue a pair of free passes.

The Moore Stewart squad jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first and then pushed ahead to 6-0 after two innings.

They were held scoreless in the third and then put the game out of reach in the fourth with a four-run inning.

Pomeroy finished the game with seven strikeouts.

His counterpart from the Bush Hog squad Dylan Lawrence went three innings and recorded four strikeouts despite giving up seven hits and six runs.

Eddie Thigpen led the Moore Stewart charge with a trio of hits and a pair of RBI’s.

Pomeroy and Craig Price kept the offensive unit driving along with a pair of hits, respectively.

Pomeroy also drove in a trio of RBI’s.

Derrick Walker, Reed Stewart and Allen Crawford also finished the night with one hit each.
