Pairings announced for AISA Final 4

The brackets have been set for the Alabama Independent School Association’s Final 4 State Baseball tournament to be played at Selma’s Bloch Park beginning May 9-13.
The tournament, which features the remaining four teams from Class A, AA and AAA features some old faces and some new ones.
Morgan Academy, in Class AAA will have an opening round re-match with defending champion Glenwood School.
The Gators and the Senators battled into extra innings last summer, before Glenwood was able to push the go-ahead and winning runs across the plate.
Their match-up is slated for Friday at 1:30 p.m.
Lowndes, who advanced to the state championship a year ago only to fall to Shelby, will have to wait until round two for a rematch with them. The Rebels match up with Sumter Academy in the first round. First pitch for that game is set for Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m.
Other old-timers that have made a return trip to the Queen City include Faith Academy, Escambia, Patrician, Clarke Prep, Lowndes and Shelby.
Newcomers this year are Lakeside, Sumter, Coosa Valley and Edgewood Academy.
Defending Class A champion Shelby Academy will take on Lakeside on Tuesday at 11 a.m.
The Class A elimination game is slated for Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
To avoid a marathon, if the &8220;if&8221; game was needed like the case a year ago, the Class A championship game is slated for Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m., with the &8220;If&8221; game to follow.
In Class AA, defending state champion Patrician matches up with Clarke Prep in round one. First pitch is slated for Thursday morning at 11 a.m.
Coosa Valley and Escambia will battle it out in the afternoon game on Thursday. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m.
The Class AA elimination game is slated for 3:30 Thursday afternoon.
The Class AA championship game is to be played on Friday beginning at 6:30 p.m., with the &8220;if&8221; game to follow.
In Class AAA, Faith and Edgewood will be the first match-up on Friday morning with a start time of 11 a.m.
Morgan and Glenwood will wrap things up on Friday afternoon with a 1:30 p.m., start.
The Class AAA elimination game is slated for 4 p.m., Friday afternoon.
The Class AAA state title game will be played on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m., with the &8220;if&8221; game to follow.
