To the Editor:

I wish to thank the leadership of the Riverview community for the wonderful forum provided Saturday, April 22, 2006.

I wish to also commend the Mayor and his staff for being a part of this community meeting. I believe the meeting had a very positive flavor.

Our community and the City of Selma are experiencing problems.

As my neighbors stated, we the citizens are the solution.

We must take pride in our community and we must look out for our fellow neighbor.

We must inform our city officials when we feel there is a problem.

We need to inform them of not only the problem but also with ideas for solutions.

As the saying goes “if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.”

The Riverview community is striving for unity.

We care about our community and our city.

I hope that all communities in Selma can come together and be a part of the solution.
