earns third

in NCWA finals

Marion Military sophomore Danny Ruiz put the finishing touches on his third All-American season with a third-place finish at the National Collegiate Wrestling Association’s National Tournament.

Ruiz, who wrestled in the 125-pound weight class finished with a record of 5-1 with wins over the No. 4 seed and four No. 1 seeds.

His only loss while at the Delta Plex in Grand Rapids was to the eventual 2006 National Champion.

During the Southeast Regional tournament held in Gainsville, Fla., Ruiz notched a third-place finish, two spots behind Pensacola Christian’s Chris Johnson.
