Garth Brooks and Chris LeDoux sang about the joys and pains of the rodeo. For two days in April, fans in Hale County will have the opportunity to experience it firsthand when 3R Rodeo Company comes to Greensboro for the Second Annual Greensboro Rodeo.

The event is slated for April 7-8 at Greensboro’s Lion’s Park. Gates open at 5 p.m. on Friday and 3 p.m. on Saturday. Gates are slated to swing open at 8 p.m., both nights.

Kids events range from a pig scramble to a session of mutton bustin’ with a gold rush and a little wrangles in between.

Rowdy Pope will be the evening’s announcer for both days and the events will include bull riding, team roping, steer wrestling, breakaway roping, bareback riding, calf roping, saddle-bronc riding and barrel racing for the ladies.

Catfish plates will be available with all the trimmings both nights.
