To the Editor:
The Selma High Lady Saints manhandled the Sidney Lanier Lady Poets during the regular season, but were upset by the same Poets in Troy.
During the regional semi-final, Coach Anthony Harris benched his starting point guard for disciplinary reasons in the second half.
Coach Harris proved that winning isn’t everything.
He showed the kids, when you make a mistake, you will be punished.
In three years, Coach Harris’ record is 79-21, 31-1 at home, with three straight trips to Troy and one Final Four in Birmingham.
Now ask yourself – would you have reacted the same way or been greedy for the win?
If you had to pause, before you answer, then you would have been thinking about yourself.
