Ann Day King
Memorial service for Ann Day King, 74, of Auburn is Thursday, February 16, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Auburn United Methodist Church Founder’s Chapel. Dr. George Mathison and Rev. Charles Cummings are officiating.
Mrs. King, who died Friday, February 10, 2006 at her home, was born on October 27, 1931 in Montgomery, AL.
She had been a resident of Auburn since 1990. She was an active member of Auburn United Methodist Church and often served as church receptionist and as Head Usher.
Professionally, Mrs. King was a real estate broker and was associated with Dunlop & Harwell, Inc. for a number of years.
She was elected Chairman of the board of directors of the Alabama Chapter of the American Heart Association.
Mrs. King was a columnist and authored the weekly column, Broad and Beyond, for several years in the Selma Times Journal.
She is survived by: three sons, Mark (Stacie) King of Smith’s Station, AL, Jeff (Miriam) King of Denver, Col. and Keith King of San Francisco, CA.; two sisters, Florence Fuller and Dell Johnson both of Montgomery, AL.; one brother, Cecil Day of Andalusia, AL; three grandchildren, Iris, Winston and Connor King.

Nathaniel Pryor, age 69, died on February 12, 2006 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center, Selma, AL.
Funeral services will be held on February 17, 2006 at the Old Oak Baptist Church in Sprott, AL.
Burial will follow in the Old Oak Grove Cemetery in Sprott, AL directed by Lee & Rollins Funeral Home.
Alma Mae Moore
Alma Mae Moore, age 59, died on February 8, 2006 at her residence in Marion, AL.
Funeral will be February 16, 2006 at the Marion Baptist Academy with Rev. Clifford Coleman officiating.
Burial will follow in the Marion City Cemetery directed by Lee & Rollins Funeral Home.
Mildred L. Goree
Mildred L. Goree, age 62, of Marion, AL died on February 7, 2006 in the Perry County Nursing Home, Marion, AL.
Funeral will be Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at the Berean Baptist Church, Marion, AL. The pastor Rev. E.D. Wood will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Marion City Cemetery directed by Lee & Rollins Funeral Home.
Carl L. Poe
Carl L. Poe, age 66, of Selma passed away February 13, 2006 at his home.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 15, 2006, 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Selma Funeral Home with Daniel Martin officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.
Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 14, 2006, 6-8:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Viva L. Poe; three sons, David (Karen) Poe, Danny (Diane) Poe and Larry (Katie) Poe; two step-sons, Stanley (Yonsoon) Barnette and Alan (Wanda) Barnette; one daughter, Teresa Poe; two step-daughters, Gwen (Wayne) Jones and Janet (Ricky) R. Allday; three brothers Ricky Poe, John Manson Poe and Larry Poe; four sisters, Janie Mae Isom, Tina McGiboney, Elaine Burnett, and Johnnie Faye Gardner; 17 grandchildren, Mandy (Eric) Snyder, Misty (Paul) Claveloux, Jessica Poe, Brandy Barnette, Jeremy Poe, Kevin Poe, Calab Poe, Alec Poe, Jason Jones, Robbie Jones, Daryl Allday, Daniel Allday, Christian Barnette, Jacob Barnette, Sean Barnette, Jase Barnette, and Matthew Brooks, 10 great-grandchildren, Skye Snyder, Sean Snyder, Karleigh Allday, Kaitlyn Allday, Natalie Poe, Christina Poe, Michael Allday, Michael Barnette, Chase Barnette, Christopher Barnette, and Nathaniel Poe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Earl and Nellie Faye Poe; one sister, Betty Smith and one brother, Lewis D. Poe.
Pallbearers will be Jason Jones, Robbie Jones, Daryl Allday, Daniel Allday, Ricky Allday and Eric Snyder.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Smith, Lenior Dennis, Mike Radford, John Traylor, Jeff Brown and Kenneth Gandy.
Mr. Poe loved hunting, fishing, camping and boating.
He was a great mechanic and enjoyed working on alternators, carburetors and starters.

Dana Lajoi Williams, age 26, of Chicago, IL. died on January 19, 2006. Funeral services were held on February 1, 2006 at Marion Baptist Academy , Marion, AL. Rev. Richard Bryant officiated. Burial followed in the Green Leaf Cemetery directed Lee & Rollins Funeral Home.
