Gladys Motley
Gladys Motley, 90, of Selma, Alabama died January 27, 2006 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.
Services are scheduled for Monday, January 30, 2006 at 10:00 am at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Father Carroll officiating.
Burial in New Live Oak directed by Lawrence Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday at Lawrence Funeral Home.
There will be a Rosary service beginning at 7 p.m.
Gladys was retired from BellSouth and a long term member of the Pioneers Club.
She was also an active member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Cecelia (Paul) Krause and Lynn (Bob) Myers; one sister, Kat (Bill) Cooper; eight grandchildren, Lauri Phillips, Tracey (John) Clibrey, Kim Braddock, Stephanie Krause (all of Selma, AL), Jonas (Kindra) Phillips of Asheville, NC, Jason Myers of Monticello, FL, Valerie (Richard) Small of Monticello, FL and Vanessa (Wayne) Hinton of Auburn, AL; seven great grandchildren, Danielle Cooper, Samantha Wolf, Laura Whitney Wolf, Seth Braddock, Aaliyah Krause, Keenen Krause and Oona Phillips; and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Motley; her parents, Alois and Amelia Wakerle; three brothers, Andrew, Louis and Tony Wakerle; and her twin sister Theresa Owen.
Pallbearers will include Jonas Phillips, Jason Myers, Richard Small, Wayne Hinton, Jimmy Grier and David Phillips.

Mary Florence Peat, 79, died on January 25, 2006.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 12:00 noon at Lily Grove Baptist Church with Rev. A. Smith officiating.
Burial at church cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Services.
Mrs. Peat was known for diving the school bus and working as a dietitian in the cafeteria for Brantley Elementary School where she worked for many years and then retired.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, January 30, 2006 at New Live Oak with Rev. Jack Lovelace officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include on daughter, Jan Viviani (Mike) or Roswell, GA.
