A $50,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who robbed the Plantersville Post Office Wednesday morning.
Officials continue to search for two suspects in the incident.
The robbery occurred about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday when a white male, 55 to 60 years of age, entered the post office and said he had a gun, said postal inspector Mike Willis.
“He took cash and money orders,” Willis said.
The suspect left in a small or medium size gray vehicle with another person.
“The vehicle was parked around the corner,” Willis said.
Officials have released sketches of the two suspects. The man who entered the post office was about 5’5″ to 5’7″ tall and weighed approximately 190 to 200 pounds, Willis said.
Anyone with information on the suspects is encouraged to call the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department at 874-2530 or the Postal Inspection Service at (251) 432-4498.
