Andrew Banks

Andrew Joshua Banks, Jr., age 85, of Maplesville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006 at his home.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, Jan. 16, 2006 at Pineview Memory Gardens with Dr. Cecil Williamson officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Banks is survived by his children Wayne (Suzette) Banks, Jerry Banks, Ronnie Banks, Joan (Neal) Barber, and Patricia (Russ) Gaddy; grandchildren, Lesia (Phillip) Howell, Sabrina (Leroy) Cooper, Angie (Leo) Cooper, Stacey Banks, Kelly (John) Harrington, Raina (Scott) Hathcock, Bradley (Jeanie) Banks, Jay (Michelle) Banks, Megan Banks, Trent McDowell and Cindy Keahey, and 25 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by brothers, James Banks, Lawrence Banks, sisters Martha Roberts, Frances Haynes, and Mildred Tucker, very special caregiver, Sherry Banks.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Frances Nichols Banks, his parents Andrew Joshua Banks, Sr., and Ruth Elizabeth Taylor Banks; brothers, Phillip Banks, George Banks, and Paul Banks, and sisters, Rebecca Quailes and Naomi Roberts.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Banks, Jay Banks, Alex Goodwin, Josh Banks, Austin Banks, Jason Howell, Jeffrey Cooper, and Wade Locke.

Honorary pallbearers are Patrick Cooper and Trent McDowell.

The family would like to give special thanks to Southern Care Hospice, Carol Collier, Summer Miller and Chaplain Bob Sandifer.

Family visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice, Crescent Hill Presbyterian Church, or Hillcrest Baptist Church.

James Mizell

James William Mizell, age 35, of Marion, Alabama died Jan. 13, 2006 at Perry County Road 24.

Services are scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006 at 11 a.m., officiated by Doug Vance, Steve Moore, and Tom Stricklin. Graveside services will follow at Pineview Assembly of God Cemetery.

Services will be directed by Kirk Funeral Homes in the Marion Chapel.

The family will receive friends Monday, Jan. 16, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at the Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel.

Survivors include parents, Judy and Charles Mizell of Marion, and brother Alan Keith Mizell of Marion. Pallbearers are Shane Jackson, Andy McNeil, Bobby Graham, Chris Aultman, Doug Vance, and Keith Simmons.

Mary Grace Curtis

Jackson

Mary Grace Curtis Jackson died Sunday. She was 79 years old.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, James Marcus Jackson, her two sons, Mark Curtis and James Christopher Jackson, her five grandchildren, Lauren Michelle, Jordan Elizabeth, and James Samuel Jackson, Jonathan Alan and Olivia Dawn Prince, and her sister, Sarah Willette Seeley of Jackson, Tenn.

Mrs. Jackson was born and raised in Winona, Mississippi, the daughter of Hugh Avery Curtis and Willie Bell Latham.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Alabama, with Rev. Coy Hallmark officiating. The service will be preceded by a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Pallbearers will be her nephews.

Burial will be Wednesday at 12:00 noon at the New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma, Alabama with Rev. Dr. Randon Howard Jackson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the First United Methodist Church in her honor will be greatly appreciated.
