Ruth Worrell

Ruth “Lavelle” Worrell, age 86, of Selma, passed away January 9, 2006 at a local hospital.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens with Rev. Ken Ray officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 10, 2006, 6-8:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home.

She is survived by 5 daughters, Jo (Mark) Taylor of Selma, AL, Mitzi (Jud) Snead of Commerce, GA, Judy Livingston of Selma, AL, Kathy (Tim) Averett of Monroeville, AL and Tommie (Mike) Autrey of Daphne, AL; fifteen grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. (Red) Worrell and a daughter, Jill Worrell.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers will be Juddy Snead, Jeff Snead, Sonny Livingston, Tom Livingston and Jeffrey Lee.

Andrae Norwood

Andrae D. Norwood, 19, of Selma, Alabama died January 2, 2006 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Services are scheduled for January 10, 2006 at 11:00 a.m at Tabernacle Of Praise with Pastor Efell Williams. Burial in Elmwood Cemetery.

Survivors include his mother, Melissa J. Milton; two brothers, Kendal J. Norwood and Damian L. Norwood; a devoted Aunt, Annie R. Norwood; Grandparents, Ola Norwood, Ellen Milton and Shelly Milton; two Aunts and six uncles.

Carol Russell

Carol Braswell Russell, 60, of Valrico, Florida died January 4, 2006 in a Tampa hospital after a lengthy illness.

She is survived by her husband, Donnie Russell, formerly of Plantersville, Al., she is also survived by her daughter & son-in-law, John and Julie Flynn and three grandchildren, Harley, Jonathan and Amber.

She also leaves a loving family of in-laws, the Leon Russell family of Plantersville,

Alabama and several of her family members of the Atlanta Georgia area.

Gracie Green

Mrs. Gracie L. Green, 62, of Clanton, Al passed away January 8, 2006 at Shelby County Medical Hospital. She is survived by her husband William (Buddy) Green, two daughters, Margaret Ann Payton of Maplesville, Al and Brenda Driver of Clanton, Al; three sons, Danny Ray Langford, William E. Green both of Maplesville, Al and William C. Green. Jr., of Clanton, Al; Mother, Annie P. Walker of Selma, Al; three brothers, Louis McDonald, Alsey McDonald, and Norman McDonald; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Louie J. McDonald; one sister, Shirley A. York; one brother, Clyde McDonald.

Services and burial are scheduled for January 10, 2005 at 2p.m at the Billingsley Church of God in Billingsley, Al.
