Bertha Jane Tyler

Bertha Jane Tyler, age 94, a native of Pine Hill, Ala., and a resident of Thomasville, Ala., passed away Saturday, December 31, 2005 at Southwest Alabama Medical Center in Thomasville, Ala.

She was a homemaker and a member of Pine Hill Church of God.

Graveside funeral service will be held at Kelly Cemetery in Pine Hill, Ala., on Monday, January 2, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mike Brening officiating.

Tyler is survived by sons: Amos Tyler of Pine Hill, Ala., Alex Tyler of Selma, Ala., Sammy Tyler of Pine Hill, Ala., Anthony Tyler of Pine Hill, Ala., and Julian Tyler of Pine Hill, Ala., daughters: Sue Lassiter of Irvington, Ala., Elizabeth Patrick of Pine Hill, Ala., and Elaine White of Sweet Water, Ala., brother: David Morgan of Pine Hill, Ala., sister: Christine Newton of Pine Hill, Ala., 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

Jessie Reese, of Selma, died Dec. 31 at a Jefferson County Hospital. Lewis Brothers Funeral Home is responsible for arrangements. Details will be announced at a later date.
