Agnes Mae Oliver
Agnes Mae Oliver, age 79, of Selma, died Saturday, December 17, 2005 in a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday December 20, 2005 at Pineview Memory Gardens officiated by Dr. Kenny Hatcher and directed by Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home, Inc. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Monday, December 19, 2005. Mrs. Oliver is survived by her husband, William F. Oliver, son, William F. (Mary Ann) Oliver Jr.; daughters, Billie (Barry) Eiland, and Patricia Ann King, grandchildren, Chris Lombardi, Austin Eiland, Jamie Eiland, Jeffrey Eiland, Tony Oliver, Shane Oliver, Michelle, Bubba, Vicky, Christy, Tiffany, Michael, Donny, and Johnny King; brothers, Robert Boutwell, Edward Boutwell, Lucky Boutwell, sisters, Margie (Bill) Crump, Aline (Ray) Goudeau, Margeline (Louie) Lewis, Liz (Billy) Bond, Betty Ann Boutwell, nieces, Hope Hill and Alena (Tommy) Goodman, nephew, Craig Hill, and
sister-in-law, Mae Stokes. She was preceded in death by brothers, Joe Boutwell, William Boutwell, and Alfred Boutwell.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Stephen Murphy, Mark Bobo, Mark Manning, Johnny Murphy, Jeffrey Eiland, and Jamie Eiland.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the management and staff of Cahaba Hospice for their kind and caring service to the Oliver family.
Frank Grindle
Frank Thomas “Bo” Grindle, age 80, of Selma, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2005 in a Montgomery hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Pete Grindle of Valley Grande, two sisters Ruth Thomson and Betty Jean (Wyatt) Willis, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Valley Grand Baptist Church, with Rev. Doug Chappell and Rev. George K. Jones, Sr. officiating.
Internment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing.
Active Pallbearers will be Walter Thompson, Joel Thompson, Richard Lang, Mickey Miller, Edward Miller and Don Ingram.
Honorary Pallbearers will be James Bearden’s Sunday School Class.
Visitation will be held Tuesday 6 :00 to 8:00 P.M. at Selma Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Building Fund at Valley Grande Baptist Church.
Mr. Grindle served in the U.S. Navy and was an active member of Valley Grande Baptist Church where he served on the Finance Committee, as a church usher, and as a member of the choir.
