The Greene County Sheriff’s Department continues to look for answers in last Sunday’s shooting of Danny Farmer.

Greene County Sheriff Johnny Isaac said Farmer pulled into a local gas station and began to think something wasn’t right.

Isaac said seven shots penetrated the vehicle with one striking Farmer in the thigh.

Isaac said Farmer is expected to recover from his wounds.

Situations like the Farmer shooting have some Greene County residents ready to make a change.

Spiver Gordon,

a resident of the county and Treasurer of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, said it was time for the people of Greene County to lend the police forces a hand and let criminals know this behavior would not be tolerated.

The situation with violence and drugs, Gordon said, has gone too far.

When speaking with residents around the county, Gordon said, he was very disappointed in the stories he heard.

Gordon said it was time for the people of Greene County to unite and let criminals know they are not welcome.
