MARION &045; The MMI Lady Tigers outscored the Autauga Academy Lady Generals 13-4 in the 3rd quarter to pull away and gain their sixth victory of the season 49 – 27.
Both teams had a difficult time putting the ball in the first half that ended at 12-11 with the Lady Tigers on top. &8220;We had a heart to heart talk at half time,&8221; said MMI coach Michelle Ivey. &8220;We seem to be a second half team. They gave a lot of effort in the third to pull away.&8221;
The talk was all that was needed because the Lady Tigers, who haven’t lost a game this season, put up 37 second half points to coast to the win.
Autauga never got within 10 points after the third quarter.
Felicia Sprott contributed 17 points and pulled down 12 rebounds. Emily Easley also had 17 points.
