Coach Louis Hill is continuing to introduce children in the Selma city school system to the finer points of tennis.
For nearly a semester kids in fifth grade learned the game of tennis.
At the start of this week, that knowledge was tested when Hill selected the top 10 students from the elementary schools in the area and put them in a tournament against each other.
This is the third year that Hill has been holding this tournament.
The tournament culminates this afternoon and then on Sunday, Hill will announce the top four teams in the tournament at a banquet ceremony.
Hill said that he plans on having a sixth through eighth grade championship at the end of the spring semester as well as having a tournament for the ninth through twelfth grade.
Hill’s work ethic and programs have been a success as the program has grown each year.
