William F. Millhouse

William F. Millhouse, 86, of Selma, died October 21, 2005 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Services are scheduled for October 24, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Abundant Life Church with Doc. Etta Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn. Miller Funeral Service directing.

Survivors include wife, Amelia C. Millhouse; three stepsons, Stacy, David and Jeffrey Cowan; one daughter, Mary Louise Leonard; seven grandchildren; two brother-in-laws; and five sister-in-laws.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey, Daniel, Stanley, A.C. and Freddie.

T.F. Kendrick

T.F. Kendrick, 80, retired Commander USN, of Seattle, WA., formally from Selma, passed on October 7, 2005 at Virginia Mason surrounded by his family.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife Mary Billingsley Kendrick, formally of Selma; his children, Debi, Dawn & Kimberly and his five grandchildren, Dustin, Kenneth, Raymond, Michael and Kylie. He will be truly missed.

Beatrice Rush

Beatrice Rush, a resident of Tyler, died October 21, 2005.

Funeral services and survivors will be announced by Bell Funeral Home.

Juanita Rooks

Juanita Rooks, of Floral City, FL, died October 20, 2005 in Selma.

She was born in Floral City and was a long-time resident of Citrus County. She graduated from Citrus High School and was a homemaker. She was affiliated with the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by Robert Edwin Rooks and Douglas Hannah Thomas.

She is survived by son, Leroy Lamar (Beverly) Rooks of Safford, AL; three daughters, Ellen (Doug) Schneider of Floral City, FL, Irma (Bob) Leydig of Plano, TX and Priscilla (Dale) Walker of Floral City, FL; two sisters, Margaret Rooks of Floral City, FL and Irma Picket of Shreveport, LA; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The service of remembrance for Juanita Rooks will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2005 at the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes with Mr. Doug Schneider officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery, Istachatta. Friends may call from 5 – 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at the chapel.

Strickland Rigsby

Susan E. Strickland Rigsby, a resident of Montgomery, AL, died on Friday, October 21, 2005.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the New Live Oak Cemetery with Father Carroll officiating.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 24, 2005 at Leak Memory Chapel from 5 – 7 p.m.

She was preceded in death by her father, Murray Strickland.

Susan is survived by her loving husband, Joseph E. Rigsby of Montgomery, AL; mother, Frances McGan Strickland of Selma, AL; sister, Kay S. Tubb (Don) of Houston, TX; brother, Bo Strickland (Ginger) of Waco, TX; her twin sister, Shirley S. Friday (Larry) of Selma, AL; nephews and nieces, Dawson, Davis, and Adam Friday, Mark Tubb, Kathryn Noah, Allison Brown, and Matthew Strickland, and her beloved Annie.

The family will accept flowers, but memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Susan.
