Morgan Academy’s varsity volleyball team has pushed their winning streak to nine matches including a spanking of Macon-East on the road Tuesday afternoon.

The Lady Senators lost game one, but rallied to win the match.

Youngblood finished the day with 11 digs and 10 kills.

The junior varsity squad has also been experiencing success and as a result earned an invitation into this weekend’s Junior Varsity State Tournament in Alabaster at Kingwood Christian. Only eight jv programs in the AISA get invitations. to compete for the title of Junior Varsity State Champion. The field includes host Kingwood, Macon-East, Lee-Scott, Faith, Cottage Hill, Jackson

Morgan and Marengo. The Lady Senators will play Cottage Hill in the first round.
