William Barkley Poole

William Barkley Poole, age 61, of Selma, AL passed away September 20, 2005 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Henry Levert officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens.

He is survived by his wife, Julie 0. Poole of Selma; one son, William Erik (Shannon) Poole of Atlanta, Ga.; three stepchildren, Jeronia Hatfield and Kerry Hatfield both of Selma, AL and Keith (Trina) Hatfield of Milton, FL; one brother, Lyndal (Carol) Poole of Moundville, AL; one sister, Kathy (Wayne) Phillips of Camden, AL; two step granddaughters, five step grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Carr, Claude Strother, Robin Walker, Earl Haugen, Robert Price and Roger Goodman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Julian Howell, Jr., the staff of Montgomery Cancer Center in Selma and the second floor staff of Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Poole was a member of Elks Lodge 167 of Selma, AL.
