After losing the first game of the best-of-five series to the Robert E. Lee Lady Generals 25-22, the Selma High Lady Saints rallied back to post a 25-21 victory before losing back-to-back games 25-12 and 25-14 to fall to 0-5 on the season.
In game three, the Lady Saints found themselves in a back and forth battle, trailing 11-10. After a Lady General rally, due in part to several miscues
by the Lady Saints, their narrow deficit turned into a large gap, 20-11.
Following that nine-point rally, Harper called a timeout to get her troops back in order.
That resulted in one point to cut the lead to 20-12.
Lee rallied with a quick five points to put the game away.
In the fourth and final game of the match, Selma stayed two-to-three points behind the Lady Generals. Things went down hill though.
Trailing 11-7, Lee rallied for seven straight points sparking Harper to call a timeout.
The encouraging words from the coach helped her team post a pair of points offensively. But it was too late for the home team. Lee, leading 18-9, outscored Selma 7-5 over the course of the match.
