When Sarah Wood took over as coach of the Meadowview Christian Lady Trojan volleyball team, she knew that she would have her work cut out for her. So far this season that has held true. The Lady Trojans, while showing improvement on the floor, have yet to win a match.

Tuesday afternoon, a winning opportunity presented itself in the form of the Fort Dale Academy Lady Eagles, another relatively new volleyball program.

After going the full five games though, the Lady Trojans were once again on the short end of the stick, dropping their third straight match.

Against the Lady Eagles, the Lady Trojans won the first game and then dropped two in a row.

Tonya Kaldor put the Lady Trojans back in the hunt during game two with 11 service aces and tied the series at 2-2. Fort Dale went on to win the fifth and final game to claim the match.

The Lady Trojans will be back in action next week when they travel to Taylor Road Academy on Sept. 13, then Clarke Prep on Sept. 15, and then Marion Academy on Sept. 20.

Taylor Road and Marion are both set to start at 4 p.m.

Clarke Prep has a 4:30 p.m., start time.
