At about 7:15 a.m., business at the NAPA Auto Parts store was interrupted when a white SUV crashed through the front of the building.
“Everybody in here got out of the way,” counter salesman Jeff Billingsley said.
According to Billingsley, a white SUV collided with a car in front of the store on Citizens Parkway. The SUV lost control of the car, came over a ditch, wound up on two wheels and came through the parts store.
Luckily, Billingsley said, no one was hurt.
“I think (the driver) was shook up a little bit,” he said.
The Times-Journal couldn’t identify the driver of the car. As of presstime, a report on the incident wasn’t filed by the Selma Police Department.
SPD officials usually file an incident report within 24-hours of the incident.
Having a car come through the front office isn’t entirely unheard of at Napa Auto Parts.
“We had one delivery driver slide through the two front doors,” Billingsley said.
Billingsley said the storefront is boarded up, and Katrina wouldn’t be a problem.
Customers are still welcome, he said.
Napa is currently open for business.
