Charlie Reese, age 88, of Selma, died Thursday, July 21 at Lighthouse.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Miller Funeral Service.

Eugene Harry

Eugene Harry, age 64, of Selma, died Tuesday, July 19 at Vaughn Regional Medical Center.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, July 23 at 2 p.m. at the Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Henry Chappell officiating.

Burial will follow in Fairlawn.

Miller Funeral Service will be directing.

Redora Dukes

Redora Dukes, age 97, of Orrville, died Monday, July 18 at her home in Orrville.

Services are scheduled for Friday, July 22 at 12:30 p.m. at the Risen Star P.A. Church, Orrville with Rev. Eugene Bennett and Rev. N. Easter officiating. Burial will follow in the church yard cemetery.

Miller Funeral Service will be directing.

Survivors include one sister, Sarah Cheese, Orrville; three nieces; and godchildren.

Lillie Bell Hunter

Lillie Bell Hunter, age 77, of Minter, died Monday, July 18 at Warren Manor. Services are scheduled for Saturday, July 23 at 11 a.m. at the Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Aldrede Mack. Burial will follow on the grounds.

Miller Funeral Service will be directing.

Survivors include parent, Susanna Hunter; one son, Tommie L. Hunter; one brother, Paul Hunter, Sr.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law; two nieces; two nephews; and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Diane Tucker

Diane Tucker, age 53, of Selma, died Saturday, July 16 at Vaughn Regional.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, July 23 at 12 noon at the Miller’s Chapel with Rev. Gregory C. Williams officiating. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery.

Miller Funeral Service will be directing.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Tucker; two sons, Daniel Glaze and Lee Tucker; six daughters, Denise Tucker, Eddie Tucker, Estell Tucker, Angela Clark, Annie Tucker and Tabatha Tucker; 12 grandchildren; two sons-in-law; and four aunts.

Eloise McCrear Williams

Eloise McCrear Williams, age 65, of Marion Jct., died Tuesday, July 19 at Vaughn Regional Medical Center.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, July 23 at 2 p.m. at the Christian Light Missionary Baptist Church, Safford with Rev. Ernest Williams officiating.

Burial will follow at Azion Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Bruce A. McCrear and Gary McCrear; five brothers, Walter &8216;Tubb’ Williams, Royston Williams, John Henry Williams, Jr., Joe James Williams and Sullivan Williams; three sisters, Gladys Smith, Cleona McGhee, Dorothy McCrear; two grandchildren; one daughter-in-law; two brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; 18 nephews; 10 neices; and two aunts, Sara Williams and Juanita Davenport.

Lewis Cooper

Lewis Cooper, age 76, of Dallas County, died Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at UAB Hospital.

Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 10:00am at the Ellwood Cemetery officated by Rev. E. McCant and directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

Major Hinson, age 36, resident of Hayneville, died July 17, 2005.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 23, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Moriah #1 Baptist with Rev. Price officiating.

Sadie Bender

Sadie Bender, age 67, resident of Minter, died July 8,

2005.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday July 16, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pine Flat Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Tolliver officiating.

Burial in Pine Flat Baptist Church with Bell Funeral Home directing.

Elizabeth Sherrer

Elizabeth Sherrer, 86, of Delaware, died July 19, 2005.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, July 23, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Grove Hill Zion Church with the Rev. Z. Coates officiating. Burial will follow in the Grove Hill Zion Church Yard.

She has three daughters; Annie (Henry) Banks of Delaware, Ernestine (Gene) Thompson of Monsfield, and Joyce (Randy) Bolton of Delaware. She has two brothers; King David (Linda) Sherrer of Birmingham and Lewis (Ella) Sherrer of Newark, New Jersey. She has nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Her body will lie in state at the church, Saturday, from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m.

Joseph Michael &8220;Mickey&8221; Smith

Joseph Michael &8220;Mickey&8221; Smith, age 59, of Selma died Wednesday, July 20, 2005 in a local hospital.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home officiated by Rev Rod Rochester, Rev Jonathan Lambert and Rev Tyrone Parten. Burial will follow at Pineview Memory Gardens.

Survivors include his wife, Resa D Smith of Selma; daughter, Brittney K. Smith of Selma; sisters, Sandra K. Pugh of Georgetown, MS, Bonnie Parten of Thomasville, Wanda Downs of Collinsville, MS, and Pat Reed of Silas, AL.

Serving as pallbearers will be Robby Davis, Paul Gallion, Marshall Parten, Taylor Stoudemire, Jim Brown, and Darrel McIlwain.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Evan U Smith and Vera Carlisle, and his brother, Frederick Walter Smith.

The family will receive friends at Lawrence Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Candra Owens, age 18, resident of Montgomery County, died July 20, 2005.
