Marcia Skinner Poulsen

Mary Marcia Skinner Poulsen, 74, died Saturday July, 16, 2005 in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m, Monday July 18, 2005 at New Live Oak Cemetery with Dr. Ron Stone officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Poulsen was preceded in death by her parents Dr. Marcus and Berta Ward Skinner, and a sister Elizabeth Bebe Childers.

She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Rebecca P. (Gordon) Gilbreath, Anne Kathrina P. (James III) Cox, Mary Marcia P. (Steve) Cole. Five grandchildren James Ware Cox IV, John Hans Poulsen Cox, Logan Skinner Cole, Jonathan Henley Gilbreath, and Sidney Gordon Gilbreath, step grandson Kaylon Kelsey Cole. One niece Nancy Childers Lansing, one nephew Marcus Skinner Childers.

Mrs. Poulsen was a graduate of Parrish High School, Selma and received her formal education at Salem College, Winston-Salem, N.C.

She was a member of Pandora and the Selma Charity League social clubs.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Selma or Crippled Children’s Foundation, 2019 4th Ave, Birmingham, AL.
