Diane Bradbury Murfee

Diane Bradbury Murfee, a resident of Prattville, passed away July 7, 2005 in a local hospital after a short illness.

She was preceded in death by her husband McQueen Smith Murfee Jr., father Alfred M. Bradbury, and stepfather Samuel H. O’Hara.

Survivors include mother, Betty O’Hara; daughters, Melissa (Jim) Murfee Lipscomb, Laura Diane (fiancee Bill Brown) Murfee; son, Brad (fiance Allison Leigh McDonald) McQueen Murfee; brother, Richard (Belinda) Bradbury, Al (Reese) Bradbury; stepsister, Pat Hayden and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers are Derek Surles, Chase Riddle, David Avant, Melton Myers, Jimmie Durbin, Tommy Thompson, Rex Musgrove, and Mike Jones.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2005, at 3:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Prattville, with Dr. Floyd Enfinger and Randy Woodham officiating. Burial will be at Memory Garden Cemetery with Ridouts Prattville Chapel directing.

Visitation at the church will be held between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society and Hospice.

Daniel L. Ingram

Daniel L. Ingram died Saturday, July 2 at his residence.

There will be a private family burial at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Ingram was preceded in death by his father, James M. Ingram.

Survivors include his mother: Marie J. Ingram, his

brothers: James M. Ingram, Robert W. (Rena) Ingram and Lewis Keith Imgram, his sisters:

Sue Box, Rosa Turner and Anne (Ronnie) Butler

Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

Sallie D. Freeman

Sallie DeRamus Freeman, 98, died Friday, March 25, 2005 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home on Monday, March 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Cecil Williamson and Rev. Earl Adams officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Family visitation will be from 10-11 on Monday at Lawrence Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the New Live Oak Cemetery where she will be laid to rest by her beloved husband the late, Cooper DeRamus, Sr. Survivors include two daughters and son in law which she made her home with, Patsy (Johnny) Presley and Lenona Craig, 2 Special grandchildren John & Dan Presley of Selma, 1 son, Cooper (Dot) DeRamus of Clanton.

A very special daughter-in-law Ginnie DeRamus Burrill and son-in-law, Howard Burrill. 12 Grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and Great- Great Grandchildren. 1 nephew and 3 nieces and a host of family and friends. Pallbearers will be Rusty Craig, Steve Craig, Clint Craig, Johnny Presley, Howard Burrill and James Tennimon.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacon and Elders and Men of Crescent Hill Presbyterian Church. In Lieu of Flowers family requests donations be made to Crescent Hill Presbyterian Church Organ Fund, 100 Crescent Hill Drive, Selma, AL 36701 or Cahaba Hospice, 410 Church St., Selma, AL 36701.

Azile L. Williams

Azile L. Williams, age 82, of Selma, passed away July 8, 2005 at a local hospital.

J.H. Williams & Sons Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements at a later time.

James &8220;J.D.&8221; Nalley Sr.

James D. &8220;J.D&8221;. Nalley Sr., 76, died Friday July, 8, 2005 in a Montgomery Baptist hospital after a short illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. , Sunday July, 10, 2005 at the Chapel of Lawrence Brown Service Funeral Home with Rev. Rod Rochester officiating.

Formerly born and raised in Toccoa, Georgia he made his home in Selma for the past 58 years.

He owned and operated Alabama Plumbing for 35 years.

Mr. Nalley is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth &8220;Liz&8221; Nalley, 2 daughters Wanda (Gerald) Salter, Rhonda (Thomas ) Godwin, 2 grand children, Jeremy (Colleen) Salter, Jay(Felisha) Williams. 6 great grand children Trey, Alanna, Trent Michael, Caitlin, Little Jay,. 2 brothers Howard Donald Nalley of Selma, Harold Nalley of Elijay, GA. 4 sisters Clara Sue Sertain of Gainsville, GA, Elsie Maekinsey of Anderson, S.C., Dorothy Stanridge of Toccoa, Ga, and Luni White of Toccoa, GA and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his only son &8220;Bubba&8221; James Deward Nalley Jr., sister Ruth Smith, Mother Daisy Nalley, Father Major Nalley. Pallbearers will be Tim Wiliams, Don Nalley, Donald Nalley, Howard Nalley, Justin Nalley, Jay Willliams, Jeremy Salter, and James McDonald.

Honorary pallbearers are Gerald Salter, Thomas Godwin, Sidney Stapleton, and Wilber Brewer. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Catharine Randolph

Tipton

Catharine Randolph Tipton, 88, died Friday July, 8, 2005.

She was a resident of Selma for over 55 years.

Visitation will be Friday July 15, at 12:30p.m.

Tipton Parlor at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with memorial

services following at 2:00 p.m., the Rev. Polk Van Zandt officiating.

Mrs. Tipton is survived by her daughter Catharine Tipton Harper of Montgomery, a son Laurence B. Tipton, Jr. of Alpharetta, Ga. 3 grandchildren and 5 great grand children.

An extended family of 2 step granddaughters and 2 step great granddaughters and a sister in law Mae Randolph of Warren, Ohio.

Mrs. Tipton was predeceased by her husband Laurence B. Tipton of Selma, her parents Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Randolph of New Jersey, and her brother Dr. S.F. Randolph of Ohio.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Sturdivant Hall Museum or Cahaba Hospice.
