Even as
Tropical Storm Cindy has been downgraded to a tropical depression, Dallas County authorities were turning their attention to Tropical Storm Dennis as it nears possible hurricane strength.
Howard said that by early Wednesday afternoon Cindy had already dropped more than six inches of rain in Mobile and is dropping more rain throughout the state.
Category three hurricanes, which have sustained winds between 111 and 130 miles per hour, can cause severe structural damage and flooding.
Howard said that although no warnings have been issued yet, people need to keep an eye on the weather.
