Langston will serve as tournament director for the inaugural Warrior Pride Bass Classic to be held on the Alabama River on Aug. 6.

The Warrior Pride Bass Classic is set to cast off on Aug. 6 at the first safe light. Anglers will have the opportunity to fish all through the day with weigh-ins beginning at 3 p.m. The entry fee is $100 a boat and a fee of $10 if the fishermen are interested in competing for the title of Big Fish.

For the Warrior Pride event, the grand prize is $2,000 followed by $1,000 for second and then $600 for third place.

According to the flyer, the prize money has been prorated for a field of 60 boats.

Before the boats take flight at dawn on Saturday, they are asked to attend a pre-tournament safety meeting on Aug. 5 from 6-8 p.m., inside the cafeteria of Central Christian Academy. The fishermen are not required to attend, although it is highly recommended.
